fees & frequently asked questions

My full fees are:

individual therapy – $250 for 45-50 min

dyad relationships / couples therapy – $300 for 50-55 min; $400 for 75 min

for polycules / constellations – please reach out! pricing is dependent on the number of folks involved.

I have limited reduced rate slots, prioritizing queer, trans, disabled BIPOC. For individuals, I have reduced rate slots starting at $120/session; for dyads and couples, $180/session.

Please use the green bottle method (picture below) to consider your means. I do not request pay stubs and simply request honesty and transparency. My rates are set to support myself financially in sustainable ways and to allow me the means to support my communities in ways outside of therapy, such as through community organizing and volunteering.

I do not accept insurance. I am an out-of-network provider and will provide a superbill for you to bring to your insurance if you are utilizing out-of-network benefits. Payment is collected in full using a secure platform that accepts debit, credit, and HSA/FSA cards. I can also accept payment via Venmo.

I accept therapy vouchers. I am a Lotus Therapy Fund and BIPOC Therapy Fund provider. If you are a recipient, please let me know when you reach out.

How do I start and what can I expect?

If what you see here resonates with you, reach out to me here. See below on what to expect and other frequently asked questions.

Initial Consultation: We will set up a time to have a 15-20 minute call to see if we would be a good fit. During this time, I will ask what is bringing you to therapy, what are your current or past experiences with therapy, and if there are financial or scheduling considerations. I am happy to answer any questions you may have that will help you determine if I am a good fit for you. If we decide to work together, we schedule a regular appointment time and meet after you complete the paperwork. Some people decide by the end of our consultation, and others need more time to consider their options. I hold the appointment slot for a week; otherwise, it will open up as I cannot hold my time indefinitely. However, you are welcome to reach out again when you feel ready to.

Initial Sessions: The first few sessions are usually a time for me to get to know you more, particularly your background, your relationships, parts of your life that got you to where you are now. The beginning is a way to start establishing trust and safety to work towards the sometimes uncomfortable growth.

“Typical” Sessions: I encourage you to come prepared with intentions or topics to process and explore. Not every session will have deep insights or profound breakthroughs. Sometimes, we laugh, we get stuck, we celebrate, we get frustrated- it’s part of the process. I am here to hold space and invite exploration, reflection, and curiosity.

How often will we meet? How long do I need to be in therapy?

I typically see clients on a weekly basis especially in the beginning as we build our relationship and I learn more about you. This also helps build routine and establishes a rhythm of support. We can reassess later on to update the frequency of sessions, such as biweekly or monthly.

There is no set time on how long I work with folks. Some work with me short-term due to insurance/work/life deadlines or they come in with a specific goal in mind to work through in a short-term capacity. Others work with me long term with no set end date. Sometimes, you might realize you want a break from therapy, and that’s okay. We can discuss and figure it out together. Therapy is a journey and process of which I am honored to be a part of.

For returning clients, I will do my best to accommodate, but I cannot guarantee availability.

What is your cancellation policy?

I ask for a 48-hour notice for any cancellations. If it is within 48 hours of the session, the full fee will be charged. I will attempt to reschedule with you based on my availability, but there is no guarantee.

If we reschedule and you cancel the rescheduling attempt, I will charge the full fee.

Potential questions you might ask your insurer:

  • Do I have out-of-network mental health benefits?

  • Do I have an out-of-network deductible? How much is my deductible and has it been met?
  • What is the amount covered per therapy session? Check your coverage for CPT codes 90791 (initial intake session), 90834 and 90837 (individual therapy), and 90847 (relationship therapy).
  • How many sessions are covered? Is there a limit to the number of sessions covered per year?
