“When I dare to be powerful, to use my strength in the service of my vision,

then it becomes less and less important whether I am afraid.”

- Audre Lorde

about Ren Lee, LCSW

pronouns they/佢

I am a queer*, transgender genderqueer/nonbinary, neurodivergent, polyamorous, fat, kinky, able-bodied, 2nd generation Chinese American (born to immigrant parents). I was born and raised on the traditional lands of the Canarsie and Munsee Lenape (otherwise known as colonial NYC).

My experiences and work are shaped by my identities, how I create and sustain joy, and community. I find it incredibly fulfilling to continuously build relationships through empathy, curiosity, and compassion. I believe in community care, liberation, growth, joy, resilience, healing, and justice.

*queer as a catch-all to encompass identities such as bisexual, dyke, aromantic, grey-ace, sapphic, and more. Identity is complex! I welcome you to reach out if you have any questions.
